TIME magazine published its list of the 300 best inventions of 2026, and according to The Times of Israel, four Israeli companies made it. The list, meant to honor inventions "that are changing how we live, work, play and think about what's possible", spans categories from health to AI and green energy this year.
The honorees
SpotitEarly uses dogs trained to detect cancer scent signatures in breath samples, and was selected for Lucid 2.0, a platform that combines the dogs with AI for early detection of several cancers. Beewise develops robotic beehives that monitor bees and treat disease, parasites and temperature changes. Bria AI develops image generation models that identify which works they drew on and pay royalties to the original creators. Aidoc was selected for an AI-based clinical reasoning engine for doctors.
AI everywhere
What most of the honorees share is the use of AI, not as a product in itself but as a tool that solves a tangible problem: early cancer detection, saving bees that are vital to agriculture, or fair pay for artists in an age of computer-generated images.
Why it matters
Recognition from TIME brings no money, but it opens doors with investors and customers abroad. At a time when Israeli tech is measured mainly by funding and exits, it is a reminder that some of Israel's most interesting innovation comes from fields such as health and agriculture.
