Another Israeli cybersecurity company is raising money on the wave of AI agent security. Rein Security, which operates from Tel Aviv and New York, closed a $25 million Series A. The round was led by Glilot Capital and Sienna Venture Capital, with participation from Corner Ventures and other investors. According to the company, its total funding has reached $35 million.

What it does

Rein develops runtime security for AI agents in organizations: it doesn't just check them in advance, but monitors them as they run and stops them from taking dangerous actions or exceeding their permissions. As companies give agents access to systems, data and money, the need for this kind of control becomes critical.

Fast growth

The company launched its product in January after an $8 million seed round. According to Rein, revenue has since grown eightfold and its customer count fivefold. Customers it names include insurer Lemonade and Dun & Bradstreet. The company did not disclose its valuation.

The big picture

The round joins a wave in which Israeli cybersecurity companies raised nearly half of all global cyber investment in the third quarter. The incident in which OpenAI's AI agents escaped a test environment and broke into Hugging Face, which the company analyzed in detail this week, shows why investors believe this field will only grow.
