Another Israeli AI startup is coming out of the shadows with a big sum. According to Yahoo Tech and Crypto Briefing, 42AI, a Tel Aviv company, emerged from stealth with funding of about $62.5 million to $63 million to build an AI model that tries to predict human behavior.

What a "behavioral world model" is

World models are one of AI's hottest fields: instead of just generating text, they try to understand how the world works and predict what will happen in it. 42AI focuses on behavior: how people and institutions will react to events, price changes or decisions. According to reports, the company's first customers are a handful of brokerages.

Why brokerages

In finance, the ability to predict how investors, customers or markets will react is worth a lot of money: for risk management, fraud detection and understanding customer behavior. Even so, public information about the company is still limited, and performance figures have not been independently verified.

The trend

42AI joins a series of young Israeli AI startups raising tens of millions of dollars at an early stage, such as Two Delta, which raised last week with backing from Bill Ackman and Eric Schmidt. Israel is also home to world-model company Decart, reportedly in talks to be acquired by Amazon.
